Hair grows in cycles. The length of the hair cycle will change not only depending on the person but also on the body part that is being treated. In order to effectively treat the hair, the length of that cycle has to be taken into account. The shorter the treatment and growth cycle, the more frequent the treatments (like in the face) will be. The longer the growth cycle, like in the legs and back, the less frequent the treatments will be.

If you’re looking for a completely permanent solution, both laser hair removal and electrolysis will get rid of hair forever. There are 3 lasers that are commonly used for laser hair removal. In some people one laser is more effective that another. At Spotless, we have various lasers we may combine to achieve permanent results with laser hair removal, so that you can stop shaving forever.
If you’ve gone through waxing, laser hair removal will be much less painful than that. However, the sensation is different—it can be described as a short rubber band snapping against the skin for a short second. Each laser pulse can destroy the hair within the area—a size of a quarter—meaning that the entire treatment is relatively fast. Anesthetic cream is also available for patients who choose to use it.
If you’re looking for a longer-lasting and less painful solution, laser hair removal or electrolysis should be in your radar. In the long run, you’ll save money and time switching from temporary methods like waxing and shaving.
On average, although depending on the area in which you are wishing to be treated, a patient will go through 5 to 10 treatments to get the longest results. These treatments are spread out between 6-8 week intervals—depending on the growth cycle of that body part.
After going the first session, the treated hair should be expected to shed out within a period of 3 weeks. If you would like to speed up the process, you can also scrub gently with a loofa in that area while showering to help encourage the elimination of hair.
